Role Purpose: Fills the platform's marketing channels with original written content, blog posts, destination information pages, and general digital copy so the platform reads as complete, trustworthy, and locally informed. Primary focus is X at launch; scope may extend to Y copy as that platform scales. Reports To / Location: Reports to: Partnership & Sales Lead, working closely with the Digital Marketing Coordinator on content calendar and campaign alignment, and with the technical team on platform-side publishing. Location: Addis Ababa, primarily remote or office-based. Key Responsibilities: - Write and publish blog posts on the platform (travel tips, hospitality trends, partner spotlights) - Write destination information pages for the cities and regions featured on the platform - Draft on-platform property description copy, in collaboration with the Onboarding & Verification Coordinator and BDRs - Produce and adapt copy for social media posts, ads, and campaign materials with the Digital Marketing Coordinator - Maintain a monthly content calendar covering blog posts, destination pages, and campaign copy - Research and fact-check destination and travel content before publishing - Optimize content for basic SEO (titles, meta descriptions, keywords), coordinating with the technical team where platform-side SEO settings are involved - Localize and adapt content between English and Amharic as needed What This Role Does NOT Do: - Does not build or modify the platform, website templates, or booking engine, that is the technical team's responsibility - Does not manage paid ad campaigns, social channel scheduling, or ad budgets, that sits with the Digital Marketing Coordinator - Does not publish content without sign-off from the Digital Marketing Coordinator (brand and campaign alignment) or the technical team (where content touches platform-side pages) Required Qualifications & Experience: - 1–2 years of professional writing or content experience (journalism, copywriting, content marketing, or travel writing) - Excellent written English and Amharic - Comfortable researching and writing about destinations, travel, and hospitality topics - Basic SEO awareness (keywords, meta descriptions); CMS or blog-publishing experience is a plus Success Metrics / KPIs: - Number of blog posts published per month vs. target - Number of destination information pages published per month vs. target - On-time delivery against the monthly content calendar (zero missed deadlines)
